Connie MyburghExecutive

Executive Chairman of Nova. Connie is a corporate lawyer by training and holds a B.Com.(Hons), LLB and H.Dip Tax. His legal career started at Hofmeyr Attorneys (Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr) in 1976. He left 24 years later, as a senior partner, to join PSG Investment Bank Holdings as director. Thereafter, he resumed legal practice as a corporate law advisor for his own account. He is a senior lawyer with extensive commercial, banking and financial services-related expertise, linked with his legal background.

Dominique HaeseExecutive

CEO of Nova. Dominique holds a Honours B.Compt (CTA/PGDip) and completed SAICA Articles with BDO Spencer Steward Chartered Accountants in 2003. She started her commercial financial career as an internal auditor in 2004. She has since served as financial and executive director of various companies in the property sector, and independently serves on various boards. She is a member of the SA Institute of Tax Practitioners as a registered general tax practitioner. She is registered as a Principal (Professional Practitioner in Real Estate) with the EAAB and is a member of SACSC (South African Council of Shopping Centres).

Matthew OsterlohExecutive

Executive Property Director of Nova, Matthew has been active in the commercial property industry for more than 20 years, with a strong focus on retail property. He has completed a number of industry related courses including the Advanced Certificate in Shopping Centre Leadership (University of Pretoria), the Building Technology and Construction Programme (University of the Free State) and the RICS Mediation Course (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors). He has also completed a Senior Management Programme (University of Pretoria). He is registered as a Principal (Professional Practitioner in Real Estate) with the EAAB and is a member of SAPOA and SACSC (South African Council of Shopping Centres).

Mr Nhlamulo NdhlelaNon-Executive

Appointed to the Board as Non-Executive Director on 8 January 2021

Mr Nhlamulo Ndhlela is currently the Executive Chairman of Atlegatron Holdings. He has vast experience in the information technology (“IT”) field and served as Independent Non-executive Director and Chairperson of the IT Steering Committee of the SA Post Office. Some of his previous appointments are Sales Director: Southern Africa – Internationale Aeronautiques, Executive Head: Public Sector Business – Novell SA and Business, Account Manager – SITA and Government Sector IT Systems and Client Executive – Telecommunications Sector – IBM.

Nhlamulo’s major high level achievements during his career are the following:

• The implementation of a Fraud Prevention and Detection system for the Department of Social Development. He led the team that concluded a successful Pilot Project that demonstrated that there were 44 000 state employees that were receiving grants fraudulently. This solution has since been contracted by SASSA and National Treasury.

• He led the Gauteng Provincial Government in the implementation of an e Government strategy for the roll out of e Services. This included formulating, as part of the strategy, an infrastructure platform that would allow GSSC to deliver secure banking and telco services to citizens.

• He pioneered the model for the delivery of Open Source Solutions technologies within the SA government through SITA.

He is currently leading a SITA team in partnership with ACSA to enter offshore markets ie: Brazil, Angola, and China. The strategy is to expand ACSA ‘s operations and deliver and outsourced management model to help ACSA enter new markets where SITA already has a presence.

Nhlamulo is an accredited member of the International Technology Association of South Africa, the Black Information Technology Forum, the Airlines Association of South Africa, the CTOC aviation stakeholders committee and the Institute of Directors (IOD).

Willem van NiekerkNon-Executive

Appointed to the Board as Non-Executive Director during June 2022

Willem is a qualified Registered Chartered Accountant (SA) with more than 33 years’ experience in both listed and unlisted entities at executive and managerial level.

He holds a Honours B. Compt (CTA) and completed his SAICA Articles with Coopers & Lybrand Chartered Accountants in 1989.

He brings a range of commercial, financial, information technology, manufacturing, property, corporate governance, internal control and transactional skills to the company.

Previous appointments as Executive Director:

• Financial Director at David Brown Santasalo South Africa.
• Managing Director at Finstone SA, Dorking SA and Marlin Granite Group South Africa.
• Group Financial Director at Pinnacle Technology Holdings.

Theo BritsNon-Executive

Appointed to the Board as Non-Executive Director on 15 October 2024.

Theo is an accomplished Restaurant Operations Manager with a deep passion for the hospitality industry. His expertise lies in optimizing operations, with a strong focus on customer service, and he takes pride in elevating the dining experience through culinary innovation and expertly curated wine pairings. He values building lasting partnerships and brings a global perspective to his work, enriched by his international travels and diverse culinary experiences.

With over 20 years of experience, Theo has cultivated a sharp acumen for business, financial, and investment dealings. He has successfully opened restaurant establishments both locally and internationally, collaborating with investors from diverse backgrounds to bring these ventures to life.
