Nando’s warns of potential chicken shortages across SA due to persistent high levels of load shedding. Load shedding continues to pose a significant threat to fresh food supply, with Eskom regularly enforcing stage six power cuts. Although Nando’s assesses the situation daily, the franchise acknowledges the potential risks to the sector. Nevertheless, it asserts that it has a reliable approach in place to ensure that it can continue to serve its customers. Despite the challenges, Nando’s will endeavour to maintain the quality of its supply in line with customer expectations. Several franchises, including KFC, have been affected by incessant power cuts, with some stores closing temporarily and others offering limited food options.
